The honey homogenizer is a vertical cylindrical vessel made of stainless steel, in which the different types of pre-heated honey are collected and homogenized in order to obtain a large batch with a homogeneous product.
The honey homogenizer is a vertical cylindrical vessel with conical bottoms and a water jacket along the shell and bottom of the unit to temper the honey and maintain its temperature between 35⁰-38⁰. The facility is insulated with stone wool to achieve better heat transfer and reduce heat loss.
The honey that reaches the homogeniser is pre-decrystallised and heated as it is transported by pump directly from the honey melting vats located in the thermostatic chamber. Before reaching the homogenizer, the honey also passes through a filtration system.
This type of equipment has two main functions. On the one hand, in the homogenizer the honey is left to deaerate. On the other hand, a homogeneous batch of honey is obtained by stirring the mixture with a slow-speed spiral-belt stirrer.
