The fat melter vessel is used for melting blocks of solid fat (cow butter, cocoa butter) in the food industry as well as for tempering liquid and semi-liquid fats in the cosmetic industry (coconut oil, essential oils, vegetable oils).
The fat melting vessel is made of stainless steel and custom-made according to the fat to be melted and the purpose for which it will be used.
In the food industry, where the melting of solid fat blocks such as cow’s butter is required, a prismatic vat type melter is used. The fat blocks are stacked side by side directly on the heating grids and as they melt, the liquid flows out into the vat. In order to maintain their liquid appearance, the bottom of the vat is heated and the walls are insulated with stone wool.
In the cosmetic industry, oils require less heating to liquefy. This is why cylindrical melters with smaller volume are more energy efficient. This type of vessel heats the oils by means of a water jacket on its bottom and shell, or on the principle of a water bath. If necessary, you can equip with a stirrer to evenly temper the fat.
