This type of industrial blendet is used to mix two or more dry and/or powdered ingredients. They are used in the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. Blenders can be of different designs and mode of operation depending on the product to be mixed.
In the food and chemical industry, semi-elliptical horizontal vessels with a double screw agitator along the entire length of the vessel are widely used. They are used for mixing food dry ingredients (flour, sugar, salt, etc.) as well as chemical dry ingredients (washing powder, fertilizers). The agitator of the unit ensures the homogeneous mixing of ingredients, is driven by a gear motor and is equipped with the necessary seals for trouble-free operation. Stabilengineering-Alpha has implemented a project for the manufacture of a similar blender with a volume of up to 4 tons.
In the pharmaceutical industry, mixers for dry ingredients with volumes from 50 to 300 litres are used. The specific feature is that mixing is achieved by rotating the vessel itself in one or both directions. For the safety of the operators at work, the machine is equipped with protections such as: safety cover of the working area, observation windows, emergency stop when the cover is opened during operation, system for unambiguous positioning of the vessel during stopping, electronic panel moved to the side, etc.
