Смесителят тип вертикален цилиндричен съд с елиптично дъно се използва основно във фармацевтичната и други индустрии за разбъркване на хомогенна смес от две или повече течни съставки. Към неговото горно дъно се монтира бъркачка, задвижвана от мотор-редуктор. Нейният старт, стоп и скорост на въртене могат да се управляват ръчно или автоматично. Рамата на съда позволява ръчното му наклоняване с цел по-ефективно разбъркване.
