Хидроциклоните, които Стабилинженеринг-Алфа произвежда, могат да бъдат стандартни хидроциклони за поливане или промишлени хидроциклони с голяма производителност.
Когато се изпомпва вода от сондаж, в нейния състав попадат песъчинки, тиня или други замърсители. Ето защо е практика непосредствено след помпата да се монтира хидроциклон, който отделя твърдите частици. Водата влиза с голямо налягане през тангенциалния вход на хидроциклона, оттам се завихря, частиците падат надолу, а пречистената вода се придвижва нагоре към изхода.
В зависимост от конструкцията на съда, събраните замърсители се почистват по два начина. Стандартните хидроциклони имат кран, който се отваря. Промишлените хидроциклони разполагат с два шибърни крана, като частиците попадат между двата крана и при почистване се отворя само долния шибърен кран.
